Introduction
Although I had worked with yarn and fiber using a variety of techniques for several decades, it was not until 2001 that I discovered traditional frame looms and began weaving.
The tactile quality of fiber, geometrical patterns, and mathematical aspects of weaving appeal to me, as well as the interplay of color and texture. In addition, the use of frame looms provides the added challenge of creating a satisfying result out of a relatively inflexible group of fixed sizes and shapes.
Each piece I weave blends practicality and beauty. Each is both functional and decorative, and can be worn, draped over a piece of furniture, or hung on a wall. The choice is yours, and the variations are endless. The completed items pictured here are all available for sale unless otherwise indicated, and I welcome commissioned pieces incorporating custom colors, patterns, and sizes to suit your needs.
